Ég hef alltaf heillast af lábörðu og fáguðu grjóti fjörunnar, því það minnir mig á fallegar perlur sem náttúruöflin hafa formað í þúsundir ára.

Bergið sjálft hefur brotist fram úr iðrum jarðar í eldgosi og síðan hafa ægikraftar Atlantshafsins velt steinunum fram og til baka eins og risavaxin slípivél.

Ég tíndi þessar steinperlur á sólskinsdegi í ásýnd eldfjallsins Kötlu, þar sem öldurnar spiluðu stórfenglega sinfóníu í svörtu fjöruborðinu.

Mér fannst við hæfi að setja þær í hjarta og með því að hita það upp í örbylgjuofni í 45 sek er hægt að njóta sannrar hjartahlýju!

A WARM HEART

This heart is filled with round pebbles from the beach which can really warm your heart.

I have always been fascinated by the round, elegantly formed pebbles to be found on the beach. They remind me of beautiful pearls that Mother Nature has spent centuries perfecting.

The pebbles first emerged in a volcanic eruption and have been polished by the immense power of the Atlantic Ocean ever since.

These “pearls” were collected by me on a sunny day by the foot of the Katla volcano on the south coast of Iceland where the waves were performing a magnificent symphony against the black beach.

I decided to put them into a heart-shaped bag. Warm the heart in a microwave for about 45 seconds and you can enjoy its “heart-warming” effect for yourself!
